Failure to connect to smpt.me.com from iPhone 3G


i having problems sending e-mails mobileme on iphone. have read problems both mobileme, , mail in 2.0, don't think falls under categories. when try send e-mail iphone gives me messsage : "the connection outgoing server smtp.me.com failed."

when try send e-mail mail on mac, without problems @ all. also, e-mails sent mobieme account puched me iphone in seconds. juts sending doesn't work. synced mac, believe settings same on both. suggestions? thing find curious, when enter compose mail page, says e-mail being sent "myname"@mac.com, not me.com, still receives mail sent "myname"@me.com.

not sure why won't connect iphone, push works great, , send fine mac. appreciated. thanks.
 

i'm having exact same problem. no idea why it's happening. smtp settings on iphone identical what's on computer. if else has ideas, appreciated.

need help with itunes 7.7
