Wireless signal strengthening

hi, have mbp (08) , unfortunately, in home in room furthest away router. router pre-n router. wondering if there anyway boost signal (even slightly) cause signal not drop as has been. have tried changing channel on router , hasn't worked much. there hardware buy?

in advance help!

you try setting "access point" or relay main router. can run $$$ they're not popular used , still cost around $70 $80.

try elevate router high can it. perhaps on top of bookcase or other tall piece of furniture. if home has 2 stories ideal spot on second floor in middle of house.

in large home angled rooms , walls between router , receiver (your mbp) may next impossible strong signal without kind of boost or relay. might try wireless antenna range extender. here's 1 built in amp it's expensive:

can find range extenders without amp varying prices. searching using google , see come with.

regards.
