ipod photo with no battery


i have ipod (photo) 60 gb without battery (don't ask me why long story). anyway works fine, amazingly, in both care dock (transpod , music dock (altec lansing in motion) won't connect computer. upshot can listen whats on not add anythng new. there power on usb port when plug in gets small battery on ipod screen, not connect. interestingly when use same cable attach charger works.

ideas, love keepusing listen podcasts in car.

can new bateries reasonably cheaply (some boast better playing time how true is :p) , come tools , stuff
though prbably know if youve taken battery out anyways...

need help with itunes 7.7
