Canceling your contract within 30 days in California


someone met while waiting in line iphone (which still 2 hours, week later!) called at&t told california law says can't demand phone returned. know if true?

also, if cancel contract at&t there way keep number? provider before , want keep number, don't want locked contract.
 

realistically, can't demand phone returned no matter are. haven't resources come home, nor pursue every such case in court. charge phone in addition etf.
