USB device not recognised (iPhone v2)


okay couldn’t go without day posting itunes (latest version 7.7.043) on pc (winxp-sp2);

1) plug iphone in, windows either says “usb device not recognised” or iphone chirps every 15 seconds or connecting repeatedly.

2) why itunes go 100% processor utilisation , lock up? happens when starting program when exiting itunes.

update - managed iphone recognised, uninstalled itunes , ran registry scan make sure there no spurious entries. did clean install of latest version.

however, still crashes , goes 100% processor utilisation when closing itunes - other pc'ers experiencing this?

need help with itunes 7.7
