Macbook Bears No Boot


so macbook won't boot @ all. first system hard froze, rebooted got stuck @ spinning circle. rebooted again , went windows worked fine after rebooting once more nothing grey screen. i've put in system disc , tried holding down every key (option, c, s, d, resetting pram) none of them elicit response. grey screen. 1 time managed pointer nothing more.

ideas short of sending in? i'd drive before sending in applecare (which need anyway panel issue). possible remove drive , hook desktop without hassle? strange seeing grey screen without being able boot disc, not dreaded flashing question mark...just nothing.

need help with itunes 7.7
