hi, i'm quite new both mac , macrumors. tried find solution here before posting, didn't find any.
have latest mbp latest mac os x (all updates installed). switched off yesterday , after turning on today, message comes up: "you need restart computer...". after turning on/off, it's still same. booted dvd , run repair permissions , repair disk utilities , did not help. grateful don't have backup yet , need machine , running. said, i'm quite new macs, please provide specific step-by-step suggestions.

that definetly kernel panic... safe , take straight genius bar @ local apple store. play around if regular old kernel panic, sounds you're getting 1 everytime turn thing on.
