Opening exec files in OS X


i have several files show grey squares green 'exec' in upper left hand corner. when info on these files indicated microsoft word files. when open them in ms word, display pages of gibberish random symbols. there application can open these files easily? have tried word, web browsers, graphic applications, etc. help

those windows programs, depending on got them, might virii. cannot run on os x.

need help with itunes 7.7
