handful of ATV questions...


debating starting convert 170 or dvds onto :apple:tv. @ moment, have dozen or movies ripped ipod/iphone. under gig each.
first question storage. i've seen organized thread , of collections massive. have upgraded hd beyond 160gb drive offered?
have keep movies on itunes library? machine mbp , while upgraded it's hard drive 320gb model, i'd rather not fill movies. have external hard drive use system backup , store raw photo files. can :apple:tv access movies on it? or if convert movie transfer :apple:tv, can delete off machine?
what's average size per movie once encoded viewing on tv? how organize/sort/view extras movie?
i'm bit confused on viewing movie selections on unit itself. front row displays alphabetical list? or can view larger list of covers (like grouped artwork view in itunes)?
lastly, know can hack :apple:tv, hacks you?

help. looking faq, didn't find one.

my atv has 500 gig drive. dynaflash has 1 tb atv.

you can delete sync'd movie hard drive, not delete reference itunes library. way atv doesn't know have deleted , not delete atv's hard drive.

a 2 hour movie @ 2500 bit rate h.264 ac3 5.1 , aac around 2.5 gb.

i call them "special 1" blah blah blah. or "mike's new car" or "boundin'". :)

it's list front row.

a lot more capacity, worry-free updates, , ability ff , rew smooth silk.
