LMAO! Leopard install black screen horror...


leopard arrived in post last week , set aside time install on mbp evening while watching tennis.

install it, , goes grand...then reboot.

after reboot, chime, grey screen logo, little pinwheel spins around...and totally black screen. :eek:

cue major freak out lots of googling , searching mac support forums can find. ran hardware test, reset pram...still nothing darkness.

start looking @ opening times of local apple store, , try work monday around trip there. left mbp alone , sat down defeated , worried... :(

booted 1 last time, fingers crossed, see if might work.

no dice.

reached across hit power button, accidentally tapped f12 , noticed tiny flicker of dark grey on screen.

turns out somehow brightness of display had been turned off. :eek:

crisis averted! hence lmao in post title. :)

have felt dumb if i'd brought store guys there turn on brightness...and work computers time! :eek:

don't feel bad. 21 month old messing our computer , same thing happened.

need help with itunes 7.7
