pretty fyi don't live in california plan visit or move there soon. starting july 1st, 2008, people 18 , younger not allowed use phones while driving, period. on 18 must use hands-free device (headset, bluetooth piece, etc.) while driving. applies in state of california. if state or country, , such law doesn't exist there, it not matter. will pulled on , cited. no points/demerits on driving record, go on driving record reportable.

more on this, plus faq older , younger 18 can found @ california dmv.

funnily enough, law doesn't prohibit dialing, or sms/text messaging while driving. can use speaker on phone well. heads up, you're going nailed here if talking on phone , driving. in sacramento alone on tuesday, there 86 warnings , tickets given tuesday morning in area alone.

tread while in cali.
