Looking to do some college shopping - help!


alright, i'm hunting second mac before head off school in late august. first computer middle-line ibook g4, great money slowed down in pretty big way after year 3.5 benchmark passed. in mind, decided wouldn't balk on extras make computer more powerful , more hold in coming years result of costs.

problem is, can't decide between macbook , pro. worth money graphics card upgrade , perhaps .1 higher ghz processor? moreover, i'm not sure if want 15" computer. have 14" ibook, 15" widescreen makes pro monster in comparison (plus regretted going 14" on 12" in day). have lug around, , has fit on desks in class, don't know want sacrifice performance sake of computer size.

i'm not computer gamer means, may taking film/film making classes during 4 years. apps, making frequent use of adobe programs (indesign, photoshop), aside most-used usual student: web surfing, chat, word processing, tunes, , torrenting. hope helps provide picture of i'll using computer for.

, thing: know when next mb/mbp update be? i'm willing hold off on buying (certainly until decide between two), there update possibilities make or break position. like, if come out smaller-sized mbp, i'm sold on that. if it's tech spec upgrade, still i'd wait for, assuming hits before august 20th or so.

well, that's i've got. advice can give great! :d

understand feeling 14" ibook problem screen same resolution 12"; did lug around bigger machine.

macbook pro big , powerful , graphics card in future if not rendering tasks. macbook steals ram , processor cycles same tasks.

own both , love pro model more.
