strategy: getting an iPhone 3G this week
not having been line-waiter in past new apple product @ loss smartest/easiest way find myself phone week. wait few weeks , walk right in , call day, due t-mo contract terminating saturday am, forced iphone close of business friday or loose existing cell number** not option use business. beyond little piece of electronic lust not important want wait on lines overnight, etc.
so, after seeing stock level threads, line waiting threads, etc... strategy phone friday? not have fan numbers, etc.. can go either at+t or apple. looking 16gb, in white.
1) check apple's website after 9pm, if have phones in stock, there before opening , wait , hope enough (i thinking hour before opening @ providence place?).
2) call at+t store every couple of hours see if have stock , prepared run on @ drop of hat (doable own own business , can go there anytime like). @ local at+t today , there 1 other person in store seems lines not going issue.
3) call apple store every couple of hours see if have stock , prepared run on @ drop of hat. problem here might run on , behind 100 people , loose out anyway. @ providence place today around 2pm , there 25 people in line , no phones in store (not sure why in line).
thoughts?
**i thinking if not phone week, payg phone, port number, , wait until at+t has phone in few weeks , upgrade way. not sure if doable.
i think real chance. i'd make hour , half though.
