some advice on new macbook


right have black macbook bought in april 07 pre santa rosa. have upgraded 2gb ram , put 200 gb hd in it.

here question montiva (sp) due released on july 14 accord macrumors, ideas on speed increase going 4gb ram? or speed increase current macbook

nephew wants macbook , thinking giving him mine , picking new one. not in hurry , can wait until august when goes school.

know has been rumored of possible new screen such in macbook air...any truth this?

thinking macbook air...but 2gb ram , 64gb ssd hd not enought me. run bootcamp vista ultimate because programs @ office require windblows.

i can't comment on new macbook revision bring, can tell 4gb made improvement in terms of speed, though improvement depend on how use machine.

keep several apps running @ 1 time, each several open documents, including word, excel, keynote, omnigraffle pro, safari, mail , ical. need launch parallels winxp virtual machine, (which configured use 768mb of ram). there ridiculous amount of virtual memory swapping if tried 1gb or 2gb of ram, fits nicely within 4gb.

if keep 1 or 2 apps open @ given time, 4gb wont you. if you're multitasker, $90 investment upgrade 4gb worth it.

need help with itunes 7.7
