Simulated Screen Res


i've seen users of eee pc's asus have simulated higher resolutions on screen physically supports using vnc workaround. obviously, no more physical number of pixels on screen can displayed, of used higher resolution screens, "extra space" welcomed.
has tried similar macbook? had been using mbp @ 1680 , regularly use inspiron 1720 @ 1920x1200... , going 1280x800 on mb feels don't have room spread out. 1440 emulated res help.

need help with itunes 7.7
