hello everyone,
finished having rather lengthy , frustrating phone conversation fido csr. informed me because did not have data plan charged when used wifi except @ 1 of rogers or fido hot spots. pressed incorrect , made him confirm several times , had him contact 1 of technical representatives. although did not speak technical representative csr formed me had told him not charged while on own wifi network if walking down street , connected open network, charged that. how work?
when said charged wifi regardless connected said internet service provider recognize on phone, , not computer , therefore charge cellular company (fido) , fido in turn charge me. did not know @ rates charged this.
seems concern cleared , in fact not charged using wifi. still concerned though because not have data plan, still might charged wifi access. perhaps csr forgot did not have data plan , when said not charged wifi access applies have data plan.
people data plans not charged using wifi people without data plan are?
don't have confidence in answer provided , still not sure if charged?
can shine light on this? has run same problem?
don't know else contact because asked supervisor(s) in technical department. should perhaps contact apple directly , ask wifi charges or without data plan?
seems absolutely absurd apple or canadian telecom people do. paying home internet our laptops , computers, why charged using on our phone?

seems clear things up, although referring customers purchased monthly data plan such 30 dollars 6gb of data per month.
same goes non data subscribers?
