How are apps installed?


for instance, when app in jailbroken iphone installed , uninstalled remnants of app linger in other directories.

app store apps sandboxed in it's own directory meaning uninstalling them leave no trace behind?

i'm curious because don't wanna play around apps , uninstall them, having traces of app being left behind slowing things down.

know how of pain uninstall apps installer, , know doing complete restore time can painful.

need help with itunes 7.7
