Family Plan with one iPhone


hi all,

i've decided new iphone , i'm new at&t. family plan, wife not want iphone. question tell folks @ apple store when iphone. tell them individual plan, afterwards go att , upgrade family plan? if still eligible discounted price of regular phone if i'm starting new contract?

asked 2 att employees , both told me differently. 1 said iphone first go att upgrade. other told me setup @ att first , go apple add phone. apple let me that?

need help with itunes 7.7
