MBP stolen! What to do?


alright, fourth of july weekend djed couple parties (friends' family) , after second 1 packing up, , remember slinging macbook on shoulder , carrying speakers car. that's last thing remember of having it. have sworn packed it. lock car. realized when unpacking wasn't there, retraced steps, looked everywhere. deemed stolen.

if had paid $50 orbicule undercover thing.

rip macbook pro.
15" led backlit
2.4ghz santa rosa c2d
2gb ram
250gb hdd (added myself!)
8600m gt 256mb

so, know i'm not getting back. loved thing. filed police report, etc, that's can do.

now...i need macbook. use everything. while have mac pro @ home, still need macbook i'm out lot. can't afford @ moment bought myself car (black audi a3 2.0t, magnaflow exhaust, revo performance chip, h&r springs, 265hp, 300lb-ft. it's baby.) cost quite bit. figure have few ways work money needed, in position? won't less macbook pro. heavy final cut studio work wedding protography. love led backlit screen , real estate , fine macbook if screens didn't suck(imo) in comparison.

so, in situation? options basically:

1. refurb/clearance 15" macbook pro of similar/identical specs 1 had - cheapest route

2. new $1999 macbook pro college discount/free ipod touch!

3. how far off new mbps? possibly wait those.


love wait till new ones arrive don't know if can wait long. input appreciated. can't believe i'm macbook-less.'




ps. although have no anti-theft, have password, , firmware lock password can't crap if wanted, xd
 

if business, have insurance equipment? maybe cover replacement.
