Keep Old iPhone, or Sell and Buy New 3G?


i got 1st-gen iphone friend, , before activate it, want know if think idea, or if should sell , use money upgrade 3g?

basic features in 3g tempt me? know there's gps , 3g, i've heard 3g sucks battery life (and i'm not huge needing fast connection speeds, since use email). there turn-by-turn navigation program? if so, might buy 3g...

need help with itunes 7.7
