iPhone won't switch from EDGE to 3G


here's problem i'm having. live outside 3g area, not much, , work inside said 3g area. when go house work, phone won't switch on edge 3g unless go network settings, turn "enable 3g" off , on. know how fix this?

need help with itunes 7.7
