Major problem with download involving the use of a computer I don't use


here goes. yesterday downloaded 1.1.4 touch think 1 apps. downloaded on computer not house itunes library. logged itunes account , downloaded fine; music changed. computer songs (400 itunes) has major internet problem no 1 including experts has been able fix. flashes on , off every 20 seconds or cannot download itunes 7.7 nor new 2.0 update. after realizing needed 2.0 last night waited , waited come out. when came out bought on laptop without songs thinking fine. when plugged in begin update shocked see message popped said fact of "all music, videos, , photos erased on ipod including songs downloaded itunes. please plug ipod computer synced music". obviouslly can't download on computer due internet problem. if go laptop , click update despite message able plug ipod synched computer , files back? furthermore, if proceed 2.0 , songs deleted ipod, songs deleted itunes account on broken internet computer if plug ipod in? please , tell me didn't waste twelve hours waiting , ten dollars. elaborate further if needed. help.
 

here's exact message: "updating iphone 2.0 software delete music, videos, , photos on ipod, including itunes sotre purchases. preserve media, apply update on computer sync music, videos, , photos.
