my macbook pro has static, hiss, blips , bleeps on headphone out many owners have reported. makes virtually audio tasks (from casual listening playing around rough mixes away studio) impossible through analog out. think or of current mbps suffer problem.
i've heard problem less noticeable higher impedance headphones, have pair of grado heapdhones (32ohms) i'd continue use. there sort of adapter can use between headphones , computer eliminate or reduce noise?
ideally don't want resort usb sound card imic - have better audio interfaces, , looking smallest, invisible solution possible when macbook pro out of studio.
i think mention, external soundcard going reliable option, although mention trying eliminate other sources of mains or electromagnetic noise @ same time. have found nearby poor quality transformers issue, though theoretically shouldn't matter.
example, output mbp 'noiseless' of time, connected same ring main 500 watt amp, 400 watt sub, generic laptop, mixing desk , couple of synths , buzzed , hummed didn't know words. disconnected lot, reconnected in different location different ring main , worked perfectly. can unpredictable, , therefore it's impossible give answer.
