unlock iPhone 1.1.3 upgrading to 2.0


i don't know if has been posted have question:

bought iphone on ebay, unlocked have no idea software used unlocking. want upgrade 2.0, brick iphone? or re-locks phone still working phone 2.0? or have virginize first , how?

sorry, i'm confused i'm new :(

need help with itunes 7.7
