Desktop Apple Monitor (for G4) flickers and clicks


i'm glad found forum, because there many things learn.
2 years ago purchased seldom used g4 (dual processor). still clean , works great. since past week monitor has begun flicker, more ballooning outward, shrinking normal size. includes images, screen saver, , dvd movies. flickering split second , occurs sporadically, every 2 minutes, once every 30 minutes. also, hear click inside monitor when flickers, if spark jumping somewhere. today replaced battery, cleaned inside , added 1 gig memory in vacant dimm slot. flickering continues. otherwise, works usual.
know problem be?
 

most monitor dying. time replacement before fails completely.

need help with itunes 7.7
