Question about reinstalling OSX


i hope in right place...

bought mac last year tiger, , naturally came ilife preloaded. switched leopard, doesn't come ilife.

i'm getting external hard drive tomorrow , plan on moving stuff onto can reinstall osx scratch. question is, when reformatting need boot install discs came mac , upgrade using leopard disk, or boot new leopard disk , use disks came mac install ilife?

hope made sense. in advance.
 

the second one.
first boot leopard dvd , install leopard. apply updates, etc.
use original install discs (don't boot them) , 'install additional software' or along lines. you'll need scroll down in finder window bit find it.

need help with itunes 7.7
