i had 1 of 2 old lexar professional 512mb compactflash cards (40x), craped out. , i've been forcing myself live one, quite fustrating. so, decided new media. decided on 2 kingston 4gb elite pro compactflash cards (133x). i'm amazed on how more costs less, , how there's decide between. think paid $260 2 512's, 5 years ago. , i'm paying under $80 8gs total.
wondering how thought photogs here put media? for, , rely on? , see real differences in read/write speed?
haven't seen threads on subject, though might worth discussing
read/write speeds matter when accessing data computer. don't matter in-camera. slow ones fast enough and, in cases, camera's buffer more makes slowest of cards.
buy middle range 8gb cf cards. i'm tempted el cheapo models worry them dying on me.
