Getting Hotmail/Windows Live Mail to work with Mail.app iPhone?

i pay $20 year windows live mail plus lets me access via pop.

works fine on mail.app osx.

i've yet working on mail.app iphone. it'll stall @ "checking mail..." , when succeeds, it'll show correct number of messages on server never download any.

other pop accounts , gmail work fine. izymail.com hotmail forwarding service works fine well, don't want pay them $18 year when i've paid $20 year microsoft pop access , should work fine.

why isn't hotmail/windows live mail working on iphone? again, works fine on mail.app osx.

thanks.
