AEBS, an Airport Express, ATV and confusion!


can me, i'm totally confused.

have airport extreme base station hooked cable modem in master bedroom. run ethernet cable aebs imac , works great.

have appletv. when atv in bedroom (about 20 feet away aebs), works great (wireless).

want stream itunes wirelessly through stereo in living room. bought airport express, told extend network, , few dropouts, itunes plays through speakers in living room.

problem: moved appletv living room. it's 15 feet airport express, imac cannot 'see' atv. thought if extended wireless network airport express, ae act relay, both sending , receiving wireless data aebs. if unplug ae living room, suddenly, aebs can 'see' atv. know there speed decrease if extend network, wierd. it's ae blocking signal instead of passing on....??

should have ae set differently? i'm not network guru, seems want should piece of cake.

suggestions??

i'm no expert either, i'm pretty sure have express setup incorrectly. mine setup "join wireless network".

need help with itunes 7.7
