3G reception in San Francisco Bay Area?


like many people have iphone, 3g reception spikes , down. of time @ 1 bar. 3g coverage in area. what's annoying tried make call on 3g see how better edge 2g phone had, everytime press send , rings, changes of time gprs , edge. wrong crap reception? how everyone's experience 3g network in bay area???

ps: @ mother's place in east bay , compared new motorola v9 3g against mine. iphone 3g had 1 2 bars going , down, , mother's v9 had full 3g reception next each other? o_o wassup this..
 

i want hear other people's experiences too. i'm picking mine end of week , want know i'm in for.
